Yu-Hsiu is interesting in the taxonomy and evolution of snails. For her master project, she propose to revise the taxonomy of family Babyloniidae by using both traditional morphometric and phylogenetic approach based on RADseq.

Ara is working on the DNA barcoding of sharks in Sri Lanka who enrolled as a master student fall 2019.

Elok is working on the connectivity of blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus species complex). Additionally, she also has great interest in the microplastic contamination of blue swimming crab at different geographic regions.

Mona will be working on the connectivity of Thalassia hemprichii between the Philippines and Taiwan, the results of her project will help further seagrass restoration programs in Taiwan.

Yu-Ting successfully defensed her thesis on temporal genetic structure of Narrow-barred Spanish mackerel (Scomberomorus commerson) in Taiwanese waters.

She successfully defensed her thesis on the speciation of Ecsenius with phylogenetic comparative approaches. This project will collaborate with Dr. Bruno Frédérich at Université de Liège, Belgium.
